Character Study Collages

 

I find the people in advertisements and print media to be very fascinating. I enjoy combing through older media in search of interesting characters used for marketing purposes. Once I extract them from their media, I use paper, leather, paints, silk florals, and other findings to reimagine them as their own human beings. This becomes a detailed practice in telling the story of each idividual through unique arrangements.
